What make your technology different?

Critical Links technology doesn’t rely on existing telephone lines or installation of cable out to the ranch. Laying cable or stringing new line even in that last mile to your house just isn’t cost-effective for an internet provider.

Up until now, you’ve had to trade fast reliable internet for big skies and birdsong filled mornings. We aren’t going to tell you you’ve hit the lottery—or even that you are home free. But your chances for an internet solution just went up exponentially because you live where you live–in rural southwest MO.

We don’t report to shareholders and our time is measured in successful installations not customers per minute. We work with you to eliminate obstacles to a reliable, fast internet you can afford.

Critical links technology is called Fixed Wireless Internet. Fixed Wireless Internet involves connecting between two fixed locations via a radio and a receiver. Fixed wireless relies on small stations to transfer data at high speeds, similar to a satellite but down on the ground.

Because the distance the signal travels is relatively short, the technology is capable of delivering faster internet speeds than 4G with lower latency.  Low latency means a computer network that is optimized to process a very high volume of data messages with minimal delay (latency). These networks are designed to support operations that require near real-time access to rapidly changing data—a nice feature for an internet signal.

A Fixed Wireless internet provider sends an over-the-air internet connection between buildings that have a clear line of sight and a dedicated mast. Fixed wireless is a “line of sight” signal, much like FM radio. We don’t mean that literally. You don’t have to actually see the airplane warning light on the tower. Critical Links isn’t passing judgment if you don’t have your holiday lights up yet. It just requires a relatively straight shot from us to you. Since Critical Links is a locally owned company in Monett, MO and it’s ‘dedicated mast’ is in Monett, chances are pretty good that we can “see” you. Yes, even out there where no internet has gone before.

Yours may be a simple installation with this particular technology. Or not. Managing expectations here. Some of our installations have presented a challenge. Hills and dales–maybe the terrain that made you fall in love with your land in the first place—can interrupt a signal.

How can you tell whether Critical Links is the solution? Call us. We’ll look at your specific location at tell you whether we can help. We will not transfer you to a call center on the other side of the planet to talk to somebody who doesn’t know where Missouri is, much less your farm. Since we built Critical Links in 2019, we’ve had to go around a few hills and erect tall antennas on a few roofs down in the dales. That’s okay with us. We’ve worked to install whole neighborhoods using the largess of one neighbor’s tall silo.

Remember, we’re not your typical “off-the-rack” internet company. We expect our customers to want a system tailored to their individual needs. We don’t report to shareholders and our time is measured in successful installations not customers per minute. We work with you to eliminate obstacles to a reliable, fast internet you can afford.
